Need help to match your clothes? Forgot your glasses at home and can’t see what is written on the label while doing shopping?
BeSpecular could be a solution to these small daily problems. It is an application for smartphone and tablet, published a few days ago and available on the Android Play Store or the Apple App Store. It works in a very simple way:
- A VIP (Visually Impaired Person) asks a question using the BeSpecular app, takes a photo of what he or she needs help with and finally attaches a voice message.
- VIP’s pictures and questions are automatically sent to the BeSpecular community of sightlings. The first one available can reply to the VIP via the BeSpecular app with a voice or text message.
- Within few minutes, the VIP receives a reply and it is possible to leave a feedback to the helper.
Giacomo Parmeggiani (Chief Technology Officer) and Stephanie Cowper (Chief Executeve Officer), decided to develop this project with the aim of helping people who are forced to deal with small daily life problems. Can be a challenge to identify everyday objects or to read labels, expiring dates and instructions.
